My August 2019 Challenge
Blog at least once a week for 3 months
For my August challenge, I decided to try to blog at least once a week for 3 months with no specific set of topics.
As we grow older, it’s harder and harder to maintain a habit for yourself. I think it has a lot to do with us not having the time and energy to consciously alter our behaviors. I decided to try a new approach in creating habits for myself, where every month, instead of pressuring myself to change, I’ll create a challenge for myself with a fixed amount of time.
Imagine if somebody tells you to run at a certain average pace but doesn’t tell you how long to run for. The indefiniteness of the distance creates a psychological barrier for you to succeed because you don’t know how to pace yourself. However, if I tell you to run at a certain average pace for 3 miles, then you are more prepared in how to tackle the distance. Will report back with any updates.
